Although the eligibility model year requirement is 1979 and older, special consideration will be given to exceptional vehicles manufactured after the 1979 model year.  All cars are subject to the same standards for admission and acceptance.

What are the dates of the 2017 rally?
The dates for the 2017 rally are Saturday, October 14 thru Wednesday, October 18.

Is my vehicle eligible to participate?

What is the entrance fee for 2017 and what does it include?
The entry fee for the 2017 Copperstate Overland is $9,800.  This is a significant increase in pricing over last year but is necessary. The Copperstate Overland is the only event of its kind. The caliber of trials, scenery, overnight accommodations, amenities, and hospitality found on the Copperstate Overland is unparalleled. Not to mention the shear number of manhours it takes our volunteers to plan the Overland.

What is the route for 2017?
We are currently working on the route details. Please check back for updates.

How many cars do you accept?
We are limiting the number of vehicles to between 10 to 15 – a significant reduction from 2016. We are expecting to receive many more applications than available spots. Please do not be discouraged if you are placed on the waitlist.

When are applications due?
Applications are due on August 31 and must be filled out online.  Notification of acceptance is the first week of September.

What happens if I need mechanical assistance on the road?
The Copperstate Overland is blessed to have the involvement of many dedicated people and organizations, and in no area is that dedication more apparent than when mechanical assistance is needed. We will travel with a team of specialized mechanics, as well as volunteers whose job it is to assist with any needed repairs.

Although we provide mechanical assistance on the road, a properly prepared vehicle is the responsibility of the driver. All accepted cars will be required to undergo a vehicle safety inspection prior to arrival. A certified mechanic is required to inspect your vehicle and sign-off that it is in rally ready condition.
