Sponsorship Opportunities
Bell Lexus Copperstate 1000 is looking for partners to continue the success of this great event. Sponsorship of Copperstate 1000 not only directly affects the rally itself but also Phoenix Art Museum. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the Museum, its operating budget and exhibition funding. During its 18-year history Copperstate has raised approximately $1 million for Phoenix Art Museum.
Bell Lexus Copperstate 1000 involves vintage car aficionados from Phoenix and around the country. Throughout the rally, there are opportunities for the public to view the cars, talk with the drivers, meet the grand marshal, and learn about Phoenix Art Museum. Whether it’s at the Mille Miglia style departure in Phoenix, or in the smaller communities of Pinetop, Tucson, Wickenburg, Bisbee or Sedona, Bell Lexus Copperstate 1000 heightens awareness for Phoenix Art Museum, the rally, and its sponsors.
Target Audience:
- Vintage Car Owners: People from the upper socio-economic brackets. These individuals purchase luxury goods, travel extensively, and have a significant disposable income. This primary demographic also has participated in one or more vintage car road rallies in the US and abroad.
- Males, 28-45: Those who have purchased a vintage, classic, sports, touring, or muscle car. Consumers of car care products, premium car insurance, car parts, and car accessories.
- Males, 18-35: Car enthusiasts who may not own a classic car, but who have a passion for cars and who are very knowledgeable about make and models. These individuals are hands-on enthusiasts and do-it-yourselfers who spend a significant portion of their income on automotive hobbies.
Sponsor Benefits:
- Publicity: Phoenix Art Museum’s marketing department manages public and media relations efforts. A comprehensive plan has been designed to target general and niche media outlets, such as local morning news shows, the Phoenix print media and select national media. Past examples include cable channel coverage on the Speed Channel and articles in Architectural Digest, Robb Report, and National Geographic Tracker.
- The 17th Annual Copperstate 1000 in 2007 reached over 12,000,000 readers, viewers, and listeners from February through April.
- The advertising equivalent for the amount of coverage received was $89,500. These numbers do not reflect the pass-along rate of each publication, which adds to visibility, nor do they reflect the credibility factor, which gives the listing more weight because it is perceived as third party endorsement.
- Signage: During the public viewing on Sunday morning, sponsorship banners will be visible on the Museum grounds. Sponsors giving more than $5,000 are mentioned on the Donor Board in Phoenix Art Museum’s Lobby, where more than 500,000 visitors pass through yearly.
- Web Site: The web site includes a wide variety of information about the rally and its sponsors, and is referenced in all the appropriate media promotion and publicity. Sponsors will receive a link to their site if applicable.
- Route Book: Depending upon donation amount, sponsors receive advertising space in the route book. All sponsors are acknowledged in the route book. 750 books are produced each year, 150 are given to drivers and the remaining are sold to the public or distributed to the sponsors.
